CIESC Douglas Ray Award
The purpose of the award is to give recognition to outstanding research in the field of comparative and international education, and to facilitate communication about that research. It is hoped that such recognition will encourage and stimulate further high quality research by graduate students.
Prize
a) Feature presentation at the CIESC Annual Conference;
b) Certificate of Accomplishment and cash award presented at the Annual Conference; and
c) One-year free membership in CIESC.
Criteria
The major criterion for the award is research excellence. When reviewing submissions, the CIESC/SCECI Award Committee for the Douglas Ray Award will pay special attention to the following:
a) the significance of the problem addressed;
b) the conceptualization and design of the research presented;
c) the execution of the presentation;
d) the potential value of the research for theory development, improved practice and future research; and
d) the overall quality of the presentation.
