22 Aug Dr. Marianne Cormier appointed a Lifetime Member of ACDE

August 22, 2024 | Dr. Marianne Cormier appointed a Lifetime Member of ACDE

The ACDE Executive is pleased to announce that Dr. Marianne Cormier has accepted an appointment as a Lifetime Member of ACDE, an honour reserved for those who have given leadership and distinguished service to ACDE during the course of their term as dean.

Marianne, who served for ten years as Dean of the Faculté des sciences de l’éducation at the Université de Moncton, responded by saying, “Thank you for the amazing honour of becoming a lifetime member of ACDE. This came as surprise! J’accepte avec plaisir et humilité. Je sens que j’ai davantage retiré d’ACDE que j’ai donné.”

Marianne’s Lifetime Membership recognizes her two terms on the ACDE executive, her commitment to our Accord working groups, and her leadership in organizing and chairing CSSE conference sessions. During her tenure as dean, she provided a dedicated French-speaking presence within ACDE, which in turn encouraged deans from other Francophone institutions to attend our meetings.

ACDE wishes Dr. Cormier well in her post-decanal life.
