01 Jun ACDE welcomes a new President

June 1, 2025 | The Association of Canadian Deans of Education is pleased to announce its new President: Dr. Stephen Price, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Community and Education at Mount Royal University. Steve succeeds Dr. Lace Marie Brogden, Dean of the Faculty of Education at St. Francis Xavier University, who served as ACDE President from 2023 to 2025.

The leadership transition took place during ACDE’s recent business meeting, held during the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Toronto, Ontario. During the meeting, ACDE members passed a motion of thanks to Lace Marie for her many years of service to the ACDE Executive. Steve cited Lace Marie’s dedication of time, energy, and expertise to ACDE, which she represented at numerous national and international organizations, balancing this work with her obligations at her home institution. Lace Marie will continue to serve on the ACDE Executive as Past President.
