Welcoming ACDE’s incoming Executive members

June 1 2025 | ACDE is pleased to announce that Dr. Anabelle Viau-Guay, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Université Laval and Dr. Amy Burns, incoming Dean of the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University, have joined the Executive as Members at Large.

Dr. Viau-Guay holds a Ph.D. in ergonomics, which she earned in 2009, along with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in industrial relations. Her research focuses on beginning teachers induction, lesson and curriculum planning, and analyzing work activity and learning in the workplace—especially among teachers.

Dr. Burns’ research centres on the lived experiences of those in educational systems, particularly on the narrative experiences of those who identify as women in formal leadership positions within those systems.

Please join ACDE in extending sincere thanks to our outgoing Members at Large, Dr. Julie Desjardins, Dean of the School of Education at Bishop’s University and Dr. Ken Montgomery, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor.
