EERA e.V. and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim are pleased to announce the 2014 doctoral research student Seasonal School. This year’s EERA invited Seasonal School will invite 70 European research students to a five day Summer School on Educational methodology at NTNU, Trondheim from June 10 – 14, 2014.
Aims of the course
Also in this year’s EERA/NTNU summer school we will focus on the methodological implications of doing educational research. The aim of the course is to highlight methodological and analytical challenges and possibilities in doing educational research. Doing educational research is a craft and in developing your skills for this craft you inevitably deal with data, theory and analyses. Being able to argue and critically discuss the relations between these aspects of a research project and its connections to the research question(s) that set of the whole project is one of the challenging aspects of any research project. This year’s summer school aim to create a space where doctoral students who are at the beginning or middle of their studentship find an opportunity to discuss and evaluate the methodological implications of their own research project in a stimulating international academic environment.
