Redefining Multicultural Education explores how injustices that shape Canadian democracy can create conditions that teach young people to see difference as a deficiency. Expanding the definition of multiculturalism to include ethnicity and race gender, sexual orientation, religion, class, and (dis)ability, Ghosh and Galczynski critically examine issues surrounding multicultural education such as bullying, environmental awareness, and competing human rights, and aim to provide educators with the tools to incorporate the ideology of multiculturalism in their classroom.
