PCAP 2013 Report

Dear colleagues and partners,

On October 7, 2014, the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, will be releasing the results from the 2013 Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP 2013).

PCAP is a triennial survey of the knowledge and skills of Grade 8/Secondary II students administered by CMEC on behalf of participating provincial and territorial education ministries and departments. In 2013, PCAP tested approximately 32,000 students from over 1,500 schools across all 10 provinces. Students were assessed in three core subject areas in English or in French according to the language of the school system. The major focus of the assessment was on science, with a secondary focus on reading and mathematics.

Further information on PCAP can be obtained at: http://cmec.ca/240/Programs-and-Initiatives/Assessment/Pan-Canadian-Assessment-Program-%28PCAP%29/Overview/index.html.

Instructions on how to join the webcast will be provided separately. We look forward to your participation in this event.
