Professionals’ Day – Friday, February 20, 2015 is now open
Keynote Speaker:
Jean Peterson, Ph.D., professor emerita, directed school-counselor preparation in the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University for several years. In her first career, she was an award-winning high school English and foreign language teacher. Later, she created a multi-option gifted education program in a large high school and later in a middle school.
Plenary speaker:
Dina Brulles, Ph.D., gifted-education director for Arizona’s Paradise Valley Unified School District. Recognized for her expertise in creating and supervising school wide cluster grouping, she also assists districts throughout the United States in developing gifted-education programs. She holds a Ph.D. in gifted education and an M.S. in curriculum and instruction. Dr. Brulles is co-author of “The cluster Grouping Handbook: A school wide model, and author of “Improving Performance for Gifted Students in a Cluster Grouping Model”, Journal for the Education of the Gifted.
Breakout sessions and workshops include:

o Mentoring by Academic Researchers: The Virtual Researcher On Call Program and the Sanofi Biogenius Canada competition

Registration includes, the keynote speaker, plenary session, breakout/workshop sessions, exhibitors, refreshments, continental breakfast and lunch. Time 9:00am-4:00pm
