WUSC Lewis Perinbam Award

Honouring Canadians dedicated to improving people’s lives across the globe

Lewis Perinbam Award for International Development 2015 – Call for Nominations

The Award Trustees and World University Service of Canada (WUSC) are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2015 Lewis Perinbam Award for International Development.

The Lewis Perinbam Award recognizes significant volunteer efforts that:

  • Improve people’s lives in the developing world;
  • Engage and inspire Canadians to undertake volunteer action;
  • Offer new ways of thinking about and/or addressing development challenges.

The award commends individuals who make a noteworthy volunteer contribution to international development rather than paid professionals in the sector. However, paid professionals who make a substantial voluntary effort are also eligible for the Lewis Perinbam Award.

Nominations will be accepted until 31 October 2015 and the Award Trustees will meet after this date to determine the successful candidate. This year’s winner will be announced on the WUSC website and will be invited to receive the award at the International Forum in Ottawa in January 2016. Winners will receive a monetary award of $5,000 towards their volunteer work. Click here to access the nomination form
