The Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, in collaboration with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), is organizing a national conference in Toronto, Ontario, on October 4-5, 2018. The purpose of the conference is to highlight the use of Canadian data in studies related to PISA and other large-scale assessment projects and to promote the use of data to help address relevant policy issues. The conference’s intended audience includes educators, education stakeholders, policy-makers, and researchers.
The organizers are calling for proposals for conference papers and workshop presentations to be presented at the conference. The papers should be primarily based on Canadian PISA data and have a clear policy focus, covering topics of relevance to education, economic, employment, and social policy. Papers focusing on other large-scale assessment projects in which Canada participates will also be considered.
Attached, please find a poster with information on the submission process. Kindly share this information with all those in your networks who might be interested in participating in the conference.
Registration information will be available on the CMEC Web site at the end of May.
