You are invited to Canada’s premier conference on evidence-based strategies to prevent bullying and teen dating violence, and promote safe and healthy relationships for children and youth.

The Conference Objective is to ensure that all adults involved with children and children (e.g., educators, school administrators and counsellors, public health nurses, police officers, mental health professionals, coaches, parents, volunteers) have evidence-based knowledge, strategies and tools to promote well-being and prevent violence.

PREVNet is a Network of Centres of Excellence with 130 leading Canadian research scientists and 60 national youth-serving organizations working together to stop violence in Canada and to promote well-being for all children and youth.

o Strategies to promote social norms that protect youth against teen dating violence

o Strategies to reduce bias-based bullying for students who are perceived by their peers as different based on academic (dis)ability, ethnicity, and sexual/gender identity

· May 16 Additional Professional Development Training Opportunities: PREVNet is offering a full day workshop to bring state-of-the-art knowledge to your setting and promote healthy relationships and a positive social climate with children and youth.

Registration Fees

Registration fee is $350 for the May 15th Conference. The additional professional development training is $300.

Registration fee includes lunch, two coffee breaks, and resources related to your chosen workshops.

Sign up for both May 15 and 16 events for $550 (a $100 discount!)

Register by March 31, and save an additional $50!

Group Discount: If you have 5 or more people attending from your organization, we will offer a $50 discount per person. For more information about a group discount and how to do a group registration, please contact Stacey at (613) 533-2632.

We also offer a Student Rate for the May 15th Conference of $150. This rate is only available to full-time students who show proof of enrollment at the time of registration. Discount available at time of payment.

Payment Options

There are two options for payment of the conference registration fee: by credit card or by cheque.

If you are paying by credit card you must complete this online registration form through this secure online system.

If you prefer to pay by cheque you must complete the mail-in registration from. To obtain a copy of the mail-in form, please email PREVNet’s Administrative Coordinator at prevnet@queensu.ca.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY:

A full refund less a $50 administration fee will be issued if your cancellation completed online no later than Wednesday May 1st, 2019.
No refunds will be issued for cancellation after Wednesday May 1st, 2019.
Modifications to your registration will be accepted if completed by Wednesday, May 8th, 2019.

You may complete your own modifications and cancellations via this online system.
Once registration is complete, please refer to your confirmation email for the link to make changes/cancel.

Where to Stay:
PREVNet has reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott Toronto Downtown at a negotiated rate, starting at $229 per night (plus taxes). This block of rooms will be held until April 12th, so please book early! To reserve a room, please use this direct online reservation system .
