NEWS: Join us for a Webinar on the 2021 ERIC Thesaurus and Identifier Update

Join us for a Webinar on the 2021 ERIC Thesaurus and Identifier Update

Do you search ERIC? If so, over the past six months you might have seen new terms appearing on ERIC records, such as COVID-19, pandemics, and others. We recently updated the ERIC Thesaurus and identifiers. New descriptors were added to records for incoming content in advance of the update to help users find timely research.

The webinar will address how ERIC balanced support to current research efforts with the ongoing work of updating the thesaurus. You will also find out what’s new and what’s changed in the thesaurus and how the identifiers can help you in your work. The webinar answers these questions:

  • What are the new thesaurus terms and identifiers, why were they were added, and how do they enable focused searching?
  • What were the pandemic-related challenges ERIC faced in updating the thesaurus and identifiers?
  • How did the changes ERIC put in place support current research?
