For nearly 30 years, OISE Prof. Kang Lee has studied the development of lying in childhood – leading to a groundbreaking new invention as well as legal reforms in Canada regarding the treatment of child witnesses.

In this OISE Alumni & Friends Leadership Series talk, Professor Lee will discuss the major discoveries he has made about the development of lying in children. He will explain how his work led to new technology called transdermal optical imaging and its implications in affective artificial intelligence (emotion AI) for applications in security, marketing, healthcare, and education.
