NEWS: Register now for the World Teachers’ Day Town Hall

Teachers and Education Advocates,

It is with great pleasure that the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF/FCE) invites you to participate in a town hall event on World Teachers’ Day, Thursday, October 5, 2023. Together, we will celebrate teachers and address a critical issue facing the entire education community in Canada: the teacher recruitment and retention crisis.

Please join us on October 5 for this CTF/FCE event – The Empty Classroom: Challenges and Solutions to the Teacher Recruitment and Retention Crisis.

Location*: La Nouvelle Scène Gilles Desjardins, 333 King Edward Ave. in Ottawa
Time: From 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. (ET)
*Please note that space for in person attendance is limited and will be allocated on first-come, first served basis.

The Town Hall will be livestreamed via Zoom (The Zoom link will be shared with registered participants two days prior to the event). We hope that teachers and education advocates from every region and community in Canada will be able to tune in and contribute.
