Announcing the Learn about your taxes competition – Win cash for your school!
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) takes tax literacy seriously and we know early education about taxes helps students understand their responsibilities and entitlements later in life. Tax literacy isn’t just about tax filing, it’s about accessing benefits and credits to make life more affordable.
Get your students excited about improving their tax literacy, encourage them to participate in the Learn about your taxes competition and they could win a share of the $5,000 prize pot for their school! This competition runs from September 20 to October 18, 2023 on ChatterHigh, a gamified content engagement platform.
This year, students will have two chances to win. They can take their financial literacy to the next level with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada’s money management competition for an additional entry.
Kindly note that ChatterHigh is a third-party website and participants will be required to create a free ChatterHigh account to access the competition.
What is Learn about your taxes?
Learn about your taxes is a free online tool that helps young people understand what taxes are, why we pay them, and what’s in it for them. Learn about your taxes offers modules, quizzes, and helpful videos to get students skilled-up fast.
