Join the Global Art Movement “Through My Eyes: Art for Development”!
We are excited to extend this special invitation to artists across Canada. WUSC is launching “Through My Eyes: Art for Development,” an art exhibition inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that features original artwork from artists in Ghana, Malawi, and Canada. The exhibition will debut in Ottawa at WUSC’s annual International Forum on February 9, 2024, and will be available to travel across Canada to promote the SDGs.
As we move towards the SDGs’ 2030 milestone, we recognize the power of art to unite, inspire, and advocate for change. “Through My Eyes: Art for Development” seeks to harness this power by displaying various artistic interpretations of the SDGs and how they impact communities globally.
We are calling on you, Canada-based artists, to participate by creating an original piece representing one of the first 16 SDGs from your unique perspective. The highlight of the exhibition will be a collaborative art piece representing SDG17 – Partnership for the Goals – to be co-created at WUSC’s International Forum in February 2024.
Submission Deadline: November 15, 2023, 11:59 p.m. EST
Selected artists will receive a modest financial compensation and reimbursement of art materials required to produce the selected art piece(s).
Your artwork will contribute to a dialogue beyond words, connecting cultures and communities in our shared quest for a sustainable future. This is not just an exhibition; it’s a movement.
Don’t miss the chance to have your voice heard and your work seen on this national stage.
