About ONCAT
Established in 2011, the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer/Conseil Ontarien pour l’articulation et le transfert (ONCAT/CATON) plays a pivotal role in supporting learner mobility, working to reduce barriers for students seeking to transfer among the province’s public colleges, universities, and Indigenous Institutes. ONCAT partners with postsecondary institutions to help establish academic pathways, facilitate recognition of prior learning, and support learners’ transition into the labour market. ONCAT achieves this by funding research and institutional projects that support learner mobility, collecting data and sharing resources, hosting events, facilitating sector groups, and managing ONTransfer.ca, a tool that helps students navigate their transfer and pathway options. ONCAT is funded by the Government of Ontario.
